Mark Allen

Mark is the Head of derivatives at Simple Investments, specialising in short-term trading over a wide range of financial markets.

Background

Mark has been actively involved in the markets from a young age and after completing a degree in economics he began his career in the City, specialising in market analysis and foreign exchange trading.

Aware that equities were and remain his passion, he embarked on gaining the relevant qualifications before joining the team at Simple Investments in 2007.

"With short-term CFD trading, my focus is very much based on short-term sentiment in the market in order to take best advantage of trading opportunities. I take a top down approach, starting with the global macroeconomic picture and narrowing down to individual stocks with favourable technical and fundamental virtues."

In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, hockey and tennis locally.
