Companies

Detailed below is a brief introduction to those companies represented by Simple Investments as Nominated Stockbroker. Each one has a link to each company’s website for you to access a more intimate understanding of their businesses and latest news.

STARVEST is an investment vehicle that typically invests £100,000-£150,000 in early stage companies, of which 78% is in the natural resource sector which the board believe offers a considerable growth opportunity over the medium to long term. The company will look to add shareholder value through selected investments in pre-IPO and new issues and to make disposals when market conditions allow.

RED ROCK RESOURCES is a company focused on exploration for manganese, uranium, iron ore and gold. Its focus is on a potential world class manganese project in Zambia that could be fast tracked to production in the short/medium term. Its board has recently been strengthened by the appointment of Michael Nott who has many years experience of exploration and mining in Zambia. The joint venture partner, Jupiter Mines have made a significant hematite discovery at Mt Ida grading over 66% iron and makes the neighboring prospect at Mt Alfred increasingly interesting. They also have uranium assets in Malawi and gold assets in Australia.

REGENCY MINES is an exploration company focused on exploring for copper and Nickel in Western Australia, Queensland and Papua New Guinea. The initial preliminary exploration project for nickel in Papua New Guinea looks particularly interesting. The tenement portfolio includes a number of projects in Western Australia and Queensland that includes extensive areas of mineralisation, some of which have returned high grades. Exploration at Budarra that consisted of soil sampling, radiometric analysis and mapping has yielded encouraging results for copper and gold.

GREATLAND GOLD is an exploration company with three properties in Tasmania and Western Australia. The principal asset is the Firetower project in Northern Tasmania. Drilling has commenced to increase the resource estimate and upgrade its resource category. This project covers rocks equivalent to the MT Read sequence which holds the world class base metal deposits of Mt Lyell, Hellyer, Rosebury and the large Henty gold deposit of 1.1Moz.

The Warrentina project located in northeast Tasmania contains three historical goldfields worked from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. Modern exploration has been limited to stream sampling, but follow up work has been limited despite encouraging results. They also have the Lackman project in the southern Yilgarn region of Western Austalia which covers Greenstone rocks that are host to gold and nickel sulphide mineralisation.

XSN PLC (the "Company") is an AIM-quoted cash shell. The Company is currently exploring suitable acquisition opportunities in a variety of sectors. The Company has stated that, in the event that no suitable opportunity can be identified, it may seek to return assets to shareholders.

The Company was formerly called Sports Network Group Plc, prior to which it was Sports and Leisure Group plc, Online Sports and Leisure plc and Internet Sport Representation Limited.

Testimonials

"We are grateful to our brokers at Simple for looking after our share portfolio, especially as we spend a lot of time out of the country. However, they are in touch regularly with advice on our portfolio and market conditions. At other times we keep up to date by checking our share movements on their excellent website."
